TEHRAN (Tasnim)- Hong Kong U-23 football team stunned Iran to beat the West Asian heavyweight 1-0 in the 2022 Asian Games quarterfinals on Sunday.

Iran and Saud Arabia played out a goalless draw in Group B opener but Reza Enayati's men earned two wins over Vietnam (4-0) and Mongolia (3-0).

A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to Hangzhou in 34 sports events.
