BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.05 percent to 3,151.34 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.18 percent higher at 11,108.5 points.
The turnover of stocks covered by the two indices stood at 931.65 billion yuan (129.4 billion U.S. dollars), down from 968.1 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Shares related to automobiles led the gains, while those in the precious metals and medical services sectors posted lackluster performances.
The ChiNext Index -- tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises -- gained 0.24 percent to close at 2,345.31 points.
